Dear friends, family and followers of Super-Duper B5!
Welcome to another year of learning and discovery. We're a fabulous Year 2 class at Eastern Hutt School in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. A class of 23 students (13 girls, 10 boys) all aged 5-6 yrs old to start the year off. What a neat bunch of kids too. You can see our gorgeous photos by clicking here (or the 'About Me' tab at the top) and scrolling down. Two of our students are away travelling at the moment, so you'll see their pics when they return, but here's our class in the meantime:
Today was a special day because it was the first day of the year, but it was also super-duper special as our school turned 100. Eastern Hutt School opened on the 2nd February, 1915. We had a special assembly today and sang the school 'Happy Birthday' and we will continue to mark this special occasion throughout the year, with a centenary celebration planned for Labour Weekend. For maths today we shared what we knew about 100 ... we're pretty smart, don't you think?
