We've arrived back to a full letterbox...

What an exciting return to school with a huge stash of mail awaiting our arrival. We were so excited to find 13 postcards from all over the world .... Denmark, Australia, Sri Lanka, France (via New Zealand), Singapore and all over New Zealand.

Today we spent time reading through each one and talking about all the different places they came from.  We are getting pretty good at identifying where places are - especially those from New Zealand ... "North or South Island?".  We especially liked receiving some from our classmates Ayla and Aaruchya that were sent over the holidays, some from Mrs P's mum Dayle, a few from Libby's special relatives the world over, a couple Mrs Henderson (our Principal) sent and a special postcard and letter from Brit from Denmark, who was once an exchange student here in New Zealand.

We have pinned the different locations they have arrived from and are looking forward to adding more pins in the very near future.  The postcards are on display in our room.  Take a look and have a read next time you're in.   Oh ... and remember to send us a postcard (and share our posts): Room B5, Eastern Hutt School, Kings Crescent, Lower Hutt 5010, NZ.  Thank you :)
