Multiplication/Repeated Addition...

We are learning to solve equal group multiplication problems using repeated addition...

We know that we can swap numbers around.

We know that 2 x 7 is the same as saying 7 x 2.  It is also the same as saying 7 + 7, and also 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2.

We are using our knowledge of skip counting in 2's and 5's to help us solve these problems.

We learnt a trick today for multiplication questions with 5 in them.  If you multiply 5 with an odd number, the answer will always end in a 5.  If you multiply 5 with an even number, the answer will always end in a 0.

These videos are great for helping teach the 2 and 5 times tables...
